Partnerships in practice: Polycentric growth in Ealing Metropolitan Centre
Located equidistant between Heathrow and the City on the Elizabeth line, Ealing Metropolitan Centre is one of London’s most attractive places for mixed use and office-led investments, with a pipeline of 30,000 sqm of commercial floorspace with a GDV of over £300 million. The centre is home to over a third of Ealing’s businesses and the highest quantity of office space and knowledge economy jobs in the borough.
As set out in the London Growth Plan, a more polycentric approach to growth that leverages the full potential of outer London’s economic hubs in symbiosis with the centre could accelerate progress towards a more inclusive economy for London and nationally.
